Set in Notre Dame of 1482, the story is of the boy, Quasimodo, born with a crooked back and locked in the bell tower of Notre Dame by his Archdeacon uncle to hide his deformities. Alone with the gargoyles and bells, Quasimodo longs to be "Out There” in the world. Getting his chance to leave his "Sanctuary” on the Feast of the Fools, he watches the beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda, dance to the "Rhythm of the Tambourine” and for the first time finds kindness and love from another human being. Tragically, two other men also desire Esmeralda, one a soldier and the other a man of power with no mercy.

Even "In the Place of Miracles’, hope and a happy ending. With music that keeps the audience spellbound, an emotionally gripping story, and the ringing of "The Bells of Notre Dame,” the story asks, "What makes a monster and what makes a man?”

Performances are May 2, 3, 4, at 7:30 pm, and May 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Gold and silver cards will be honored in addition to the gold card show on May 1, 1 p.m. for North Penn School District residents over the age of 60. For more information about gold cards, please click here.
