Three Juveniles Charged in Burglary of Sellersville Train Station

The Perkasie Borough Police Department has announced charges against three juveniles in connection with an alleged burglary that occurred at the Sellersville Train Station on Feb. 22.

Investigators said they were dispatched to the train station at 6:50 p.m. for a report of a burglary in progress. A witness said they observed three subjects smashing the windows of the building and exiting the building while throwing items, causing more than $5,000 worth of damage, according to investigators.

Police said they initiated a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle on Constitution Avenue in Perkasie Borough and made contact with the driver — identified as a 17-year-old female from Sellersville — and two passengers, identified as a 17-year-old male from Palm and another 17-year-old female from Sellersville. Inside of the vehicle, investigators said they recovered items from the train station, alcoholic beverages, and merchandise tied to a retail theft from Landis Market.

Investigators later learned the vehicle was allegedly involved in a different retail theft from the Gulf Station on North Main Street in Sellersville.

As a result of the incidents, the following charges were filed in Bucks County Juvenile Court:

  • Juvenile female driver: Theft, Criminal Mischief, Retail Theft, Driving Under the Influence, Burglary, Criminal Trespass and Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages.
  • Juvenile female passenger: Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, Theft, Retail Theft, Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages.
  • Juvenile male passenger: Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, Theft and Retail Theft.

Juvenile court records are not publicly available, and police are withholding the identities of the three suspects due to their age.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
