Scratch-baked doughnuts are going to make Chalfont go nuts.
Brown’s Doughnut & Pastry Co., which has cemented a loyal following at its main Dublin, Bucks County location, opened a second Bucks County location on Wednesday in Chalfont.
According to its website, the 284 West Butler Avenue location is in the shopping center at Skyline Drive, featuring CVS, Grin Nails, and Main Street Pizzeria and Grill.
The bakery specializes in scratch-baked goods from fresh ingredients and custom orders. Customers can also stop in at its two locations for breakfast items and hand-crafted coffee drinks.
Started by a couple who fell in love behind a bakery counter, Brown’s Doughnut & Pastry Co. makes custom cakes, cookies, handmade bagels, and breakfast sandwiches, per its website. It also specializes in desserts, like cheesecakes and cupcakes, cookie tins, danishes, and, obviously, doughnuts.
"We use simple handmade methods. Every doughnut, bagel, cinnamon bun are hand rolled and cut. Yes, it takes extra time and skill, but it is worth the extra work,” states its website. "You won’t see every baked good you can think of on our menu.”
Being a small business, Brown’s cannot throw together certain baked goods on demand. Thus, it asks customers to preorder in advance via its online menu, especially with Easter season around the corner.

a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday,
and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Closed Wednesdays.
