A Chalfont father is free on $200,000 unsecured bail after being arrested and charged with allegedly running a father-son cocaine and methamphetamine distribution operation.
Mark Francis Serafin, 53, of Patriot Drive, is charged with two felony counts each of criminal use of a communication facility, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and criminal conspiracy, according to Warrington Township Police Department.
Prior to Serafin turning himself in on Wednesday, his son, Jackson Serafin, 19, turned himself in to police on Jan. 9 after a warrant was obtained for his arrest, following a months-long investigation, police said. Jackson Serafin is free on $100,000 unsecured bail.
The son is charged with four counts of felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, four misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, and three felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility, police said.
Police allege the younger Serafin sold cocaine and methamphetamine during controlled purchases on several occasions in 2023. Investigators said Serafin allegedly conspired with his father to buy and sell drugs amongst his friends and contacts.
Both Jackson and Mark Serafin have a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 25 at 9 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
