Lansdale and Hatfield police have teamed up Tuesday night and are using a heat-sensing drone to assist in the search for two people who bailed out of a pickup truck after it crashed into a fence in the Wedgewood development in off Schwab Road in Hatfield Township in the midst of a police chase.

According to reports from the scene, a white pickup truck with a ladder on its roof entered the neighborhood at a high rate of speed from Schwab Road, turned into an alley, crashed through a wooden fence, and finally stopped in the backyard of a home at 1293 Wedgewood Drive in the Hatfield Township portion of Wedgewood.

Then, two occupants fled from the truck on foot, according to authorities.

The individuals are described as Hispanic males, wearing white T-shirts, last seen heading east in a rear alley behind Wedgwood Drive.

Police have set up an active perimeter around and near Wedgewood and Schweiker Park and Schwab Road in Hatfield Township and Lansdale Borough.
