This grant signifies a significant investment in addressing homelessness and promoting affordable housing within Montgomery County.

PHARE, administered by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA), plays a pivotal role in supporting initiatives aimed at creating, rehabilitating, and sustaining affordable housing across the Commonwealth. Your Way Home's successful application, submitted on behalf of the public-private partnership by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Housing & Community Development, underscores its commitment to providing essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Montgomery County.

“These funds will help us expand our rapid rehousing and landlord engagement and support programs, which are crucial to quickly housing individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community," said Kayleigh Silver, administrator of Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services Office of Housing and Community Development.

Your Way Home Montgomery County's rapid rehousing program provides short-term financial assistance and support services to help individuals and families secure permanent housing as quickly as possible. Landlord engagement programs work to establish partnerships with landlords, ensuring a steady supply of affordable rental units for those in need.

The $800,000 grant from the PHARE Fund will be instrumental in expanding Your Way Home's efforts to provide housing solutions and support services to vulnerable populations throughout the county.

“We are pleased to have been awarded the PHARE grant,” said Dr. Tamra Williams, deputy chief operating officer for Montgomery County. “Rapid rehousing with supportive services and assistance for landlords are critical components of Montgomery County’s strategy to address homelessness.”
