Hot town, summer in the city. 

The first day of summer on Thursday in the North Penn area was a scorcher. 

And it is forecast to get worse (or better, if you love the heat).

As excessive heat warnings continue to be issued, the weekend and early next week will see places hit a heat index as high as 105 degrees.

Pools in the area were packed and air conditioners were cranked full blast.
