The owner of an automotive service shop on North Broad Street was convicted in Montgomery County court for attempting to rape two 11-year-olds in 2017 in Salford Township.

Colket, 53, of Green Lane, was found guilty by a jury of two felony counts of criminal attempted rape of a child, three felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, felony indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, felony corruption of minors by an adult, and felony endangering the welfare of children, according to court documents.

Colket owns Colket Automotive Technical Services at 1513 N. Broad St. in Hatfield Township, located in a leased unit on the former Zeigler’s property.

All in all, the underage sexual deviant was facing 46 felonies, filed in February, by Salford Township Police. All 10 felony charges of statutory sexual assault of a child 11 years of age or older were withdrawn, as were seven felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, seven felony counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, a charge of unlawful contact with a minor through sexual offenses, and all 10 felony charges of aggravated indecent assault without consent, according to court records.

Colket was ordered by Common Pleas Judge Thomas P. Rogers to undergo sexual offender evaluation prior to sentencing.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. Colket faces life in prison and remains jailed at Montgomery County jail.

Colket was represented by Andres Jalon, of Philadelphia. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lauren Elizabeth Marvel.

On July 12, 2011, at 8:53 p.m., Colket, then 40, and living on West Main Street in Lansdale, was cited for disorderly conduct for mooning passing cars from the porch of 143 S. Hellertown Avenue in Quakertown Borough, per police records.
