Fire destroys shed in Silverdale Borough backyard Monday night

A shed fire in a Silverdale Borough backyard was nearly completely destroyed by fire Monday night, but there were no injuries during the event.

The fire broke out around 10:57 p.m. at 158 W. Main St.

Upon arrival, emergency and fire crews encountered a large shed engulfed in flames about 100 feet from the primary residence, an 18th-Century Old Colonial home.

According to emergency radio communication, there were multiple callers about the fire, and the homeowner believed someone committed arson. The fire remains under investigation.

Hilltown Township Police, Sellersville Fire Co., Silverdale Fire Co., and Hilltown Fire Co. assisted at the scene.


The homeowner, per Bucks County property records, resides in Telford Borough.
