Driver trapped in car after live electrical wires come down during Friday evening rainstorm

A driver is trapped in their vehicle on Line Lexington Road in Hatfield Township after live electrical wires fell onto their car during a raging rainstorm Friday shortly after 5 p.m.

Line Lexington Road is closed between Old Bethlehem Pike and Woodview Drive.

A transformer also blew, but there was no sign of a fire, per reports from the scene.

PECO is expected to arrive on scene shortly.

Hatfield Vol. Fire Co., Hatfield Police, Hatfield Fire Police, Montgomery Township Fire Police and Montgomery County Emergency Management are on scene.
