Police investigating after Pride flag cut down and stolen in Bucks, American flag left on ground

Central Bucks Regional Police Department are seeking thieves who cut a rope on a flagpole at the Civil War monument at North Main and East Court streets in Doylestown Borough and absconding with the Pride flag during early morning hours Thursday.

Police said unknown persons were seen at 1:50 a.m. cutting the rope on the monument flagpole at the intersection, causing the United States flag and Pride flag to drop to the ground. The Pride flag, police said, was unclipped from the rope and stolen, while the American flag was left lying on the ground.

Surveillance images captured a motorcycle and thieves with flashlights around the monument at the time of the theft, police said.
