A homeless woman out of Philadelphia who police said stole an idling truck in Jeffersonville was charged last week with felony receiving stolen property, misdemeanor unauthorized use of a vehicle, and driving on a suspended license by Montgomery Township Police.

Adrienne Michelle Deal, 38, a native of Abington Township, is free on $10,000 unsecured bail following a May 31 arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Katherine E. McGill, per court documents.

On May 30, at 10:57 p.m., police found Deal in the parking lot of the Quality Inn on Bethlehem Pike, sitting in the driver’s seat of an idling white Ford F-350, police said.

Bystanders told police that Deal, according to the complaint, told them the truck she was driving was stolen.

Police confirmed the truck was reported stolen out of Jeffersonville, West Norriton Township on May 30, per the complaint.

When asked where she got the truck, Deal, police said, told them she was walking in Jeffersonville, found the truck running and took it.

Police said Deal had a suspended driver’s license.

Deal has a preliminary hearing scheduled for 10:15 a.m. July 2 before Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy.
