Driver hits pole on Cowpath Road and flees the scene Monday night

Authorities said the suspect was found 15 minutes later at a nearby shopping center.

A driver who fled on foot around Cowpath Road and Telford Pike in Franconia Township after crashing into a telephone pole shortly before 11:15 p.m. Monday was found about 15 minutes later at a shopping center nearby, then taken to Grand View Hospital for treatment of injuries, according to Montgomery County emergency dispatch communication.

The accident left wires arcing on the roadway. Cowpath is closed off between Telford Pike and Church roads. PPL is arriving on scene. 

The car sustained heavy front-end damage. The suspect was found at the Indian Valley Shopping Center on the 200 block of Telford Pike.

Numerous Telford Volunteer Fire Co. apparatus, including fire police, were called to the scene, as well as VMSC EMS and Franconia Township Police.
