Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, several schools in the North Penn School District will begin a pilot of the Community Eligibility Provision. Through the program, all students at Oak Park Elementary, Knapp Elementary, Hatfield Elementary, and Northbridge will receive free breakfast and free lunch regardless of family income.

The Community Eligibility Provision is a federal program through the United States Department of Agriculture that provides reimbursement for meals to the school based on the number of students who are eligible. Schools with 25% or more students identified as low-income, homeless, foster youth, or other qualifying needs can participate in the program and provide meals to all students free of charge.

All students in the North Penn School District are eligible for free breakfast, and those who qualify for free or reduced meals will all receive free lunch, even those in the reduced category.

For students not in the pilot schools of Oak Park, Knapp, Hatfield, and Northbridge, the application for free/reduced meals can be found here.

Additionally, NPSD is offering free summer meals to all students 18 and younger. Information about summer meal distribution can be found here.
