Get your calendar out: Lansdale’s borough council has approved several additions to the town’s summer calendar.
Borough council unanimously gave its approval to several summer events after the public safety committee voted them ahead in early May, as follows:
• On June 9, from noon to 3 p.m., the Lansdale Pride Walk organized by the Montgomery County LGBT Business Council
• On June 29, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Monger Fest Block Party organized by Well Crafted Brewing Company.
• On Sept. 28, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., a Sixth Birthday Bash, also organized by Well Crafted.
All four have been vetted by borough police, Chief Mike Trail told the public safety committee in early May, and the parade and Pride Walk will go down Main Street, while the two Well Crafted events will be hosted on Madison Street outside Well Crafted’s entrance.
The Pride Walk approval was voted ahead by the committee contingent on finalizing the route and event insurance, and public safety chairwoman Meg Currie Teoh said on May 15 that police had received and reviewed that info.
“Those were provided and approved, so: all good there,” she said.
