Care and Share Thrift Shoppe closes due to gas leak Thursday afternoon

A gas leak closed down the Care and Share Thrift Shoppes on Route 113 in Hilltown Township Thursday afternoon, according to NBC10, and is expected to reopen on Friday.

First responders arrived to the scene shortly before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, after someone in the store reported smelling gas.

Sgt. Robert Ryan of Hilltown Township Police told NBC10 that emergency crews will remain on scene until the gas company repairs the leak.

Care and Share Thrift Stores shared on Instagram that it will reopen Friday.

Responding units included Hilltown Township Police, Perseverance Fire Company, Silverdale Vol. Fire Company, Telford Vol. Fire Company, and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
