Slip on your flip-flops, strap on your Oakleys, and pop over to our party in June — Boardwalk season has arrived in Lansdale!

The theme of Discover Lansdale’s second First Friday of the season, June 7, is “Boardwalk,” recalling those golden days of sand and sun, with music, amusements, food and fun — and a focus on Main Street as Lansdale’s own strollable, shoppable summer byway.

We have boardwalk- and carnival-themed inflatables, beachy souvenirs for sale — and feel free to come dressed for the boardwalk (within reason, of course)! And we will be continuing our new downtown tie-in, the Discover Lansdale Passport Program!

If you haven’t already, be sure to pick up your Passport Program playing card at the DL table at First Friday (or at the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County on Madison St. anytime), then collect stamps all summer long by shopping, dining, and playing at participating borough businesses. And if you’ve already managed to fill out your passport (great work!), drop it at our table June 7 for the first drawing of the season and a chance at a prize package worth $300.

All your favorite features return June 7, to our new location and layout along Madison Street:

  • The Photo Scavenger Hunt: This month’s prize package sponsored by Cardinal Hollow Winery.
  • Live on the Main Stage: The Gabriele Guma Band
  • DJ at Railroad Plaza: Chris Evans
  • Food Vendors: Tuckedito, Tot Rod, Jay's Joint, Clean Plate Club, Farmstead Foods, and of course all our top-notch borough favorites
  • Dessert Trucks: Fiesta Churros, The Main Freeze, Beach Beans Coffee Co.
  • At the Beer Garden: Well Crafted, Ten7, Local Tap/Favorite Child, Simple Days, Boardroom Spirits, Cardinal Hollow Winery, Round Guys Brewery, and Stove & Tap
  • Entertainment: Face-painting by Josep Cuce, juggling by Doug Stafford, and Photo Booth courtesy Evans Entertainment
  • Plus carnival/boardwalk themed kids’ amusements and about three dozen vendor tables along Madison and Wood Streets.

Local brewpub Well Crafted Beer Co. will have a tent setup pouring draft beer outside in the beer garden area. They will also be open regular hours for indoor dining with rotating food specials and a full bar of 20 craft beers, fresh shaken cocktails, ciders, and mocktails. Follow along on Facebook at Well Crafted Lansdale and Instagram @wellcraftedlansdale for special beer release announcements, stop by after First Friday for live music from 8 to 11pm, or check out the late night happy hour!
