The township and fire department welcome the community to the firehouse on Garfield Avenue to celebrate Tomczak’s life.
“Instead of voting,” stated the department on Facebook, “we’d love for you to share a memory of Jeff or any special moment with our incredible Upper Gwynedd Fire Department or Upper Gwynedd Police Department.”
Cards will be available to share memories.
Then, Upper Gwynedd Township Police announced road closures for three hours on Saturday afternoon, due to funeral procession for Tomczak from Corpus Christi Church to Greenlawn Cemetery in Upper Gwynedd.
On Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m., Sumneytown Pike will be closed in both directions between West Point Pike/Church Road and Allentown Road.
Allentown Road will have temporary traffic changes between Sumneytown Pike and Old Allentown Road to accommodate attendance for Greenlawn Cemetery internment.
Furthermore, there will be significant traffic delays, police said, on Supplee Road, Garfield Avenue and West Point Pike, due to the procession.
Police ask drivers to plan accordingly if traveling in the area.
