A Hatfield man with three prior retail theft convictions has been charged with felony charges of theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly under-ringing trading cards at Walmart in Hilltown Township.

On June 28, police were called to the 1515 Bethlehem Pike store for a report of under ringing. Police said a man, identified as Keith John Mignone, 38, of the 1000 block of Campbell Way, attempted to buy trading cards by scanning the barcode of another item for a lesser value than the cards, police said. After scanning, Mignone put the cards into a bag, and then tried to leave the store, per the complaint.

The total for the unscanned cards was $129.81, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6 at 3:30 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage, per court records.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
