PA Title and Tag opens Harleysville location

PA Title and Tag celebrated the grand opening of its Harleysville location July 16 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Hosted by the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce, the celebration brought together staff members, Chamber members and local dignitaries. The Harleysville location is the business’s fourth venue, with additional locations in Boyertown, Emmaus and Upper Perkiomen Valley.

President Mark Fluharty began his career in the insurance industry, eventually becoming the primary owner of the insurance agency Gerhart, Hartman and Ritner. He entered the title and tag business 12 years ago after buying one of his company’s clients in Boyertown. The business later added two additional locations before opening the Harleysville location.

“Harleysville’s an area we haven’t been in before,” said Fluharty. “We hope this will be a successful and convenient place for people to get the services.”

PA Title and Tag, which has a location in the Perkiomen Valley as well, primarily provides title and registration services for Pennsylvania and out-of-state vehicles. The business has recently branched out into apportioned trucks as well as other services, including notaries, birth and death certificates and passport photos.

“We do a lot of instant work, registrations, title transfers, things of that nature,” said Fluharty. “We’ll eventually have additional capabilities where we can print the camera cards, rush titles, etc.”

During the celebration, state Rep. Donna Scheuren presented the owners with a certificate from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

“We certainly look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with you in Harleysville,” said Scheuren.

“Whenever a new business comes into the community, it’s always an important event,” added Steve Hunsberger, Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “This is your fourth location, which is really exciting. We are happy to welcome you.”

Pa Title and Tag of Harleysville is located at 345 Main Street Suite 4. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit patitleandtag.com.
