The North Penn School District, the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, and community partners such as Manna on Main, Lansdale Parks and Rec, and the North Wales library have put forward efforts.
Summer, throughout our North Penn community, is in full swing. As we closed out our 2023-2024 school year in June, we wished our North Penn students well and as they exited the doors, we sent them on their way with the hope that their summer days would be filled with the best that summer can offer.
During the warm summer months, we want our North Penn students to be visiting and enjoying our many community parks, out riding their bikes, learning the value of a dollar by working their first job, stopping in our area libraries and enjoying a new book, and perhaps making waves at a nearby community pool. We hope their summers are filled with laughter, opportunities that expose them to new experiences, and time to just be a kid.
However, I think we can all agree that the one thing that we do not want them to experience this summer is HUNGER.
To ensure that our students do not experience food insecurity this summer, the North Penn School District, the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, and community partners such as Manna on Main, Lansdale Parks and Rec, and the North Wales library have put forward efforts to meet the needs of our North Penn students and their families. And for that, we are grateful!
