Police issue 38 violations to 16 commercial motor carrier vehicles in enforcement inspection detail

At least 38 violations were discovered across 21 commercial motor vehicles inspected on three roads in New Britain Township during the Central Bucks Motor Carrier Enforcement Team detail on July 10, township police said.

The police department hosted the MCSAP detail on U.S. Business 202, County Line Road, and Upper State Road.

Of 21 commercial motor vehicles inspected, five had no violations. Sixteen of the 21 had violations. All in all, 38 total violations were discovered, including three out-of-service violations, police said.

Two of the commercial motor vehicles were placed out-of-service for brake defects, police said, but were still in operation.

Six vehicles were found operating on a size and weight-restricted road, violating the law, police said.

New Britain Township Police issued 12 traffic citations and 26 traffic warnings.
