Here’s the scoop – a popular Bucks County ice cream shop has opened a sixth location in Chalfont.

Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream announced its grand opening June 29 and that it will be doing business at the Manhattan Bagel store at the intersection of E. Butler Avenue and N. Main Street.

When Manhattan Bagel closes at 2 p.m., Nina’s Waffles will take over and open an hour later.

“Now you can get your coffee and bagels at Manhattan Bagel in Chalfont during the day and when they close, Nina’s Waffles & Ice cream opens. Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream in Chalfont will open daily at 3 p.m.,” said the June 29 Facebook post.

The genius behind Nina’s is a breakfast item paired with dessert. Waffles – which can be purchased and shipped via their website – range in flavor from banana pecan and cinnamon raisin to birthday cake and chocolate peanut butter, to name a few.

Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream also specializes in custom ice cream cakes and offers gluten-free options.

The company, owned by Alexis Zanias and Donald Bradley, features authentic Liege waffles made in-house and hand-crafted ice cream flavors, such as Cookies & Cream, Espresso Crunch, Mad Crack (Madagascar vanilla with saltine cracker brittle, toffee and chocolate), Mint Chip, Triple Chocolate Pretzel Punch, and S’mores, for example.

It offers its customers variety – they can choose to build their own custom waffle. Otherwise, customers can choose from concoctions like Shawn’s Dream (waffle, cookie dough, peanut butter, caramel drizzle), Cinna Waffle (cinnamon cream cheese schmear and candied pecans), or the Zoubi (waffle with homemade lemon curd, fresh strawberries and whipped cream).

Check out its menu here.

Its other locations are in Doylestown, Dublin, New Hope, Newtown and Peddler’s Village in Lahaska.
