A Quakertown man remains in Bucks County prison on 10% of $150,000 cash bail after being arrested and charged with attempting to steal a car behind a West Rockhill pizza shop.


Jason Plenderleith, 43, was charged by Pennridge Regional Police Department Saturday with felony criminal attempted robbery of a car and felony criminal attempted receiving stolen property, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of criminal attempted simple assault and summary charges of harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness, according to court records.


Police said Plenderleith was arrested following a reported disturbance at Pizza Pub, 1115 Old Bethlehem Pike.

Plenderleith, police allege, was involved in a fight in the parking lot of Pizza Pub, where he attempted to forcibly remove a driver from a car in the parking lot so he could steal it.


The defendant was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Gary Gambardella and a preliminary hearing is scheduled before the judge on July 22 at 10 a.m.
