Home At Last Dog Rescue is excited to introduce Sparkles, a 1-year-old Hound mix, as its featured Rescue of the Week.

Sparkles was rescued from Darlington, S.C., at the age of 3-months, before finding her way to her current foster home in Perkiomenville, through Home At Last Dog Rescue. Sparkles was diagnosed with Juvenile Cellulitis, also known as puppy strangles, which can cause swelling and scarring typically on the face, resulting in hair loss and other side effects.

Sparkles has made a full recovery and her hair has begun to grow back. As a result of this diagnoses, she was placed on a kill list at her previous shelter.

Sparkles is a very energetic and happy dog who loves to play. She gets along well with other dogs and has a strong ability to read and match their energy. Although she can be very playful, she loves to settle down with you for some cuddles.

Sparkles is house- and crate-trained, and walks well on the leash. She would best fit with an owner who is more active, such as someone who enjoys hiking, walks, or even boating.

If you are interested in adopting Sparkles or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit www.homeatlastdogrescue.com.
