Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash at the Five Points intersection Monday evening and the accident remains under investigation.
Montgomery Township Police said the 5:51 p.m. accident involved a red 2008 Toyota Prius and a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Police said the Toyota, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Quakertown, was eastbound on Cowpath Road, intending to turn left onto Route 309 northbound.
The motorcycle, driven by a 61-year-old man from Horsham, was west on Route 463/Horsham Road, crossing the intersection with the intention of continuing west on Route 463, police said.
The crash occurred when the driver of the Toyota began a left turn, and the motorcycle struck the front of the Toyota, police said.
The 31-year-old woman was taken by VMSC EMS to Grand View Hospital for treatment of neck, shoulder and torso pain, police said.
The motorcyclist suffered head, body and leg injuries and was taken to Grand View Hospital by VMSC, police said.
The crash is under still investigation. Police said a determination of charges, if any, would be made after the conclusion of the investigation.
Montgomery Township Police were assisted at the scene by VMSC EMS, Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Montgomery Township Fire Police and Lansdale Police Department.
Route 309 at Route 463 and Route 202 was partially closed for a period during this crash and investigation, police said.
