North Penn High School (NPHS) and the African American and Allies Club (AAAC) will be holding a Black History Showcase on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. in the NPHS auditorium.
The Black History Showcase is an annual event, formerly known as Colors of Pride. The event aims to highlight the African American experience at North Penn, in the United States, and around the world. There will be various artistic performances, including step dances, spoken word pieces, and a skit performed by members of the AAAC.
The AAAC is a club for NPHS students to find a safe space between Black students and allies, discuss issues within and affecting the Black community, celebrate successes, and highlight Black excellence.
The Black History Showcase on Feb. 15 is free and open to the community. Donations will be accepted to fund the AAAC club and scholarships for members.
