National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Warning for North Penn Region

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the North Penn area ahead of a snowstorm that will move through the region on Friday.

According to the NWS, a total of four to six inches of snow is expected to fall between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. Friday. Temperatures are expected to rapidly drop into the teens Friday evening, meaning any untreated roads will become icy and dangerous.

Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate during the storm, with the NWS stating the snow will likely impact both the morning and evening commutes.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency,” said the NWS, in a statement. "The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 511.”
