Multiple area fire companies are at the scene of a residential fire along the 1600 block of Rickert Road in Hilltown Township.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at 11:22 a.m. for a report of a building fire. Arriving personnel encountered a fire in a single-story home with the occupants of the home standing outside. Sources at the scene said they believed the fire started in the attic of the home, however that detail has not been officially corroborated.
The fire has since been placed under control, though smoke was still emanating from the home as of 12:15 p.m. No injuries have been reported, and damage to the home is currently unknown.
Roads in the immediate area have been closed as first responders work the scene. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
