A Quakertown woman has been sentenced to time served as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors in connection witha December 2022 stabbing incident in Lansdale Borough.
Hillary Blase, 41, was sentenced earlier this month to 137 days to 23 months in county jail after pleading guilty to one misdemeanor count of simple assault. Additional felony counts of aggravated assault with extreme indifference, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and criminal trespassing, were dropped in exchange for Blase’s plea, court records show.
Since Blase was provided credit for 137 days of time served, she was subsequently released. Sentencing notes also indicate that Blase must undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations.
Lansdale Borough Police were dispatched to a home on West Third Street at 10:28 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2022, for a report of a stabbing. Arriving police located a male victim in the kitchen of the home suffering from a lower left leg injury that was actively bleeding, and the suspect — later identified as Blase — was no longer on scene, according to charging documents.
The victim said he had broken up with Blase earlier in the day, however after going to sleep, Blase had entered the home through an unlocked door and began screaming at him and assaulting him, according to police. The victim then pushed Blase out of the bedroom, at which point Blase allegedly brandished a knife and stabbed the victim several times, police said.
The victim then pushed Blase down a flight of stairs, after which Blase exited the home and fled the scene, the report states.
Police said the victim was transported to Grand View Hospital for treatment of two lacerations to his left arm and multiple puncture wounds to his left leg. He was released from the hospital several days later.
Blasé was located and taken into custody the following day, and she was initially held at the county jail on $2,000 cash bail along with a probation detainer. On April 25, 2023, bail was switched to unsecured and the detainer was lifted, court records show.
