A local juvenile was arrested and charged Tuesday night following an assault involving a knife on East Main Street in Lansdale Borough.
Police were dispatched to an apartment along the unit block of East Main Street at 4:35 p.m. on Jan. 9 for a report of what was initially described as a stabbing. Arriving personnel found a juvenile victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, and the victim was subsequently transported from the scene via ambulance to Lansdale Hospital for treatment.
Lansdale Borough Police Chief Mike Trail described the injuries as cutting wounds, adding that the incident was a domestic assault between two underage siblings.
Trail said one of the siblings was taken into custody and has been subsequently charged, however he is not releasing any other identifying information due to the suspect’s age.
The investigation is ongoing, and police — along with the department’s mental health co-responded — are continuing to work with the family, Trail said.
Lansdale Police were assisted at the scene by units from VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
