Owowcow Brings Back Eagles Ice Cream Footballs Ahead of Playoffs

Owowcow is bringing back its Philadelphia Eagles Ice Cream Footballs right in time for the Birds’ nail-biting playoff run, available starting Jan. 8 at all five of its locations.

"After a roller coaster season filled with ups and downs, the Philadelphia Eagles officially clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs and are postseason bound for the third year in a row,” stated Owowcow in a press release. "To celebrate, award-winning local artisan ice cream shop Owowcow Creamery has re-introduced their ice cream footballs. This year, the tasty frozen treats have gone green in honor of The City of Brotherly Love’s beloved team.”

Each $8 ice cream football is filled with sweet honey cream ice cream dyed green with natural food coloring, Jamison, Bucks County’s Warwick Farm Brewing English Brown Ale fudge, and layers of homemade soft pretzel cookie dough, and enrobed in a dark chocolate shell.

Owowcow, founded in 2009, has locations in Chalfont, Ottsville, Wrightstown, and Easton, PA, and Lambertville, NJ. The company uses organic and locally sourced ingredients and is licensed by the Department of Agriculture to make ice cream base from scratch.

For the first time, customers can order the treats via DoorDash and GrubHub.

"We created footballs last year and they were so popular we decided to bring them back,” said Shira Tizer Wade, managing director of Owowcow. "This year, we’ve incorporated Warwick Farm Brewing’s English Brown Ale into the recipe. Customers will enjoy notes of toasted chocolate and bread crust in the fudge. What better way to support our Birds as they begin their run to the Super Bowl.”

While the number one seed went bye-bye, the Eagles can still potentially earn the number two seed – they just have to beat the New York Giants on Jan. 7 and we have to hope the Dallas Cowboys lose to the Washington Commanders. The best bet on the horizon is a number five seed, which would result in a road playoff game against Tampa or New Orleans.
