Historical Society of Montgomery County to Host Author on Leap Day

Leap into history with the Historical Society of Montgomery County — Meet Amy Cohen, educator, historian, and writer, at the Historical Society of Montgomery County, on Thursday, Feb. 29.

Cohen will discuss her book "Black History in the Philadelphia Landscape” which offers a comprehensive look at the Black experience in the region, spanning from the late 17th century to the 1960s. Her book delves into significant events and historical figures and how they are memorialized in the physical landscape. This book is an excellent resource for secondary students and beyond.

Social and book signing will begin at 6:30 p.m. The author’s presentation will begin at 7 and last approximately 1 hour with time for questions.
