Emergency response crews are currently at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash involving a Pennsylvania State Police vehicle at the intersection of Skippack Pike and Valley Forge Road in Worcester Township.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at 4:35 p.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries. Arriving personnel located a state police vehicle with heavy front-end damage in the intersection, as well as a second vehicle that had gone off the roadway and into a nearby field.
Montgomery County dispatch recordings indicate occupants from both vehicles were complaining of neck and back pain, and multiple ambulances have been observed at the scene.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
The intersection is currently closed as crews continue to work the scene. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
Pennsylvania State Police remain on scene, along with multiple units from the Worcester Fire Company, VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Plymouth Ambulance, and Skippack EMS.
