Firefighters Rescue Driver from Single-Vehicle Crash in Hilltown Tuesday Night

Area firefighters rescued a male driver from a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Hilltown Township.

The crash occurred along the 200 block of Rickert Road at 11:30 p.m., with arriving first responders finding a male trapped inside of a silver Subaru that had left the roadway. The vehicle was located nose-down in a ditch at an elbow bend in the road, according to sources at the scene.

Due to the angle of the vehicle, the driver became entrapped inside, but fire crews were able to free him from the vehicle. He was transported from the scene via ambulance for what were described as minor injuries.

It’s currently unclear what caused the crash.

Hilltown Township Police were assisted at the scene by units from Hilltown and Silverdale fire companies, as well as Chalfont EMS.

The scene was cleared at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday.
