One person was injured Sunday night following a fire in a detached garage in Warrington Township.
Crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Willow Lane on Feb. 18 just before 11:30 p.m. for a report of a building fire. Arriving crews encountered a fully engulfed three-car detached garage and one person suffering from burn injuries.
Witnesses at the scene reported multiple small explosions, as well as the explosion of a vehicle inside of the garage. The burn victim was transported from the scene via medevac for treatment of what one source described as severe burns.
Firefighters were able to gain control and place the blaze under control, but not before the structure was completely destroyed.
Multiple area fire companies and first response units were dispatched to the scene, including Warrington, Chalfont, Doylestown and Horsham fire companies, as well as the Warrington Township Police Department and other neighboring agencies.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
