Lansdale Man Caught Outside Woman’s Window with Firearm, Night Vision Goggles, Police Say

A Lansdale man is facing felony weapons charges after he was allegedly caught outside a woman’s bedroom window at 1 a.m. in New Hanover Township with night vision goggles and a loaded 9mm handgun, according to Town and Country News.

Edward Francis Cordenner III, 36, is charged with a felony count of possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of a firearm without a license, police said. Cordenner is also charged with resisting arrest, trespassing, possession of an instrument of crime, and loitering and prowling, police said.

Cordenner, who did not own a concealed carry permit, remains at Montgomery County prison in lieu of $75,000 cash bail, per court records.

According to the article, at 1:21 a.m. on Feb. 4, three police officers responded to a home on Colflesh Road for a report of a suspicious person. The caller told police she heard someone knocking on her bedroom window on the side of the house, police said.

Two officers allegedly found Cordenner between a parked pickup truck and the garage, and told police he was at the residence to get his motorcycle, police said.

Cordenner allegedly possessed night vision goggles and a magazine with nine 9mm rounds, according to the report. A 9mm handgun was also found on the ground near where he was patted down, police said.

When police asked for identification, Cordenner allegedly became aggressive and made erratic movements, and began to resist arrest upon being detained, police said. Cordenner was then taken to the ground by officers and taken into custody, the report states.

A preliminary hearing is set for March 12 at 10:45 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Maurice Saylor.
