Woman Injured After Striking Ditch Sunday Morning in Montgomeryville

An elderly woman was hospitalized late Sunday morning after her vehicle veered into a ditch on Doylestown Pike.

The crash occurred on Feb. 11 at 11:24 a.m. near the intersection with Grays Lane. Arriving personnel located a red Honda sedan that had left the roadway and traveled into a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, described to North Penn Nowas an elderly female, was injured in the crash and was subsequently transported to Grand View Hospital via ambulance for treatment of unknown injuries. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.

It’s unclear what caused her vehicle to veer into the ditch.

Traffic on Doylestown Pike was reduced to one lane as crews worked to process and clear the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Montgomery Township Police were assisted at the scene by units from VMSC Emergency Medical Services and the Fire Department of Montgomery Township.
