Vehicle Nearly Strikes Home in Friday Afternoon Crash in Lansdale’s West Ward

A two-vehicle crash nearly resulted in a home being struck in Lansdale’s West Ward Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 4:57 p.m. at the intersection of South Cannon and Delaware avenues and involved a collision between a Kia SUV and a Honda SUV. Arriving first responders located the damaged Kia in the roadway and the Honda only several feet from a nearby home, which had also struck a small tree after the collision.

The incident was initially dispatched as an accident with injuries, but sources at the scene said both drivers refused medical treatment, and no one was transported to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Multiple neighbors at the scene told North Penn Now that there has been a high volume of accidents at the intersection, and the owner of the home that was nearly struck said they returned from a walk to find the vehicle had nearly struck their home.

Lansdale Police were assisted at the scene by units from VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
