North Penn Thespian Troupe Hosting Benefit Gala and Silent Auction

The North Penn High School (NPHS) Thespian Troupe is holding their 25th annual Knight for Broadway Cares Fundraiser and Showcase on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the NPHS auditorium at 1340 South Valley Forge Road in Towamencin.

Since 1999, the NPHS Thespian Troupe has raised over $100,000 for Broadway Cares. Broadway Cares is one of the largest nonprofit AIDS fundraising organizations, providing funding for essential services for those living with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses. The organization also helps individuals across the country access lifesaving medication, healthcare, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance. Coffee House performances will begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium lobby, along with a silent auction and flea market full of signed playbills, posters, and other souvenirs directly from Broadway. Auditorium performances begin at 7:30 p.m. including individual and group performances, the comprehensive music technology class, production numbers from the three middle school musicals coming in March, and a sneak peek at the NPHS Spring musical production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

There is no ticket to enter the event, but donations are encouraged. The silent auction will begin at 7 p.m., followed by performances in the auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available at the concession stand. The dress code is casual.
