The Souderton-Telford Business and Professional Women (BPW) recently teamed up with local non-profit Angels Sharing the Warmth to host its first annual coat drive.
From Jan. 2 to Jan. 21, the organization collected coats from four different drop off locations in the Souderton area, with community members showing up on a daily basis to donate bags of coats, gloves, hats, and gloves. In the end, over 50 bags were donated with over 500 coats for women, men, and children, said a Souderton-Telford BPW press release.
"Thanks to everyone who supported this endeavor local families in need and homeless communities will stay warm this winter season,” said Souderton-Telford BPW.
Angels Sharing the Warmth dropped off several bags to Grace’s Closet at GUMC in Telford, Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Souderton, the Bush House in Quakertown, a mission church in Kensington for children and a homeless community in Bethlehem, said the release.
