Discover Lansdale’s "Friends of the Freight House" fundraising campaign for the rehabilitation of the historic property at Broad and Vine streets just got a boost toward its goal through the end of the year.

A generous donor has pledged to double every donation made to the fundraising campaign – thus, $5 becomes $10 and $50 becomes $100 and so on.

“We ask you, at this giving time of year, to help us reach our goals. Every $1 becomes $2, and both of them go directly to turning the 120-year-old iconic stone structure at the crossroads of Vine Street, South Broad, the new Liberty Bell Trall and SEPTA's Lansdale/Doylestown commuter line into a valued civic resource for generations to come,” wrote Discover Lansdale’s Bruce Schwartz in a email newsletter.
