Warrants issued for couple accused of cashing $16,000 in stolen, forged checks, police say

Two individuals from Miami, Florida are wanted by Central Bucks Regional Police for felony forgery, theft and identity theft offenses related to the cashing of fraudulent checks belong to a New Britain Borough resident in October.

Central Bucks Regional Police said active warrants have been issued for the arrest of Andy Javar Salas-Martinez, 24, and Gisela Rosalin Crichlow, 25, both of Miami. Police said Salas-Martinez is charged with three felony counts each of forgery, theft by deception, and identity theft, as well as three misdemeanor charges of writing bad checks, according to charging documents  

Crichlow is charged with one felony count each of forgery, theft by deception, identity theft, and receiving stolen property, as well as misdemeanor writing bad checks, according to court records.

Authorities allege both defendants forged and cashed four fraudulent checks totaling $16,500 from the account of a victim of Carousel Circle.

The checks were cashed in Hialeah and Miami, police said.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
