2-car crash Monday afternoon sends at least 1 person to hospital

One person has been transported and two other people are being assessed by VMSC Emergency Medical Services Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash with rescue on Doylestown Road in Montgomery Township.

Doylestown Pike (202) is closed headed toward Five Points, but the road is open headed into Chalfont. Drivers headed toward Five Points are being redirected down Montgomery Glen Drive. 

The accident occurred around 2:20 p.m. and involved a silver Acura and a dark blue Honda Civic. 

One person was trapped and was rescued from the passenger side, per reports from the scene. As of 2:30 p.m., one person was being assessed in a VMSC EMS ambulance, while a third person remained in one of the vehicles, per reports.

Montgomery Township Police are assisted at the scene by Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Chal-Brit EMS, and three VMSC ambulances.
