Buddha statue stolen from New Galena Road yard, police say

The 25-pound statue was reported stolen on Friday.

A 25-pound statute of Buddha, also referred to as Siddhartha Gautama, was stolen from the yard of a home on the 800 block of New Galena Road in New Britain Township. 

The property is located near Lake Galena and Peace Valley Park.

New Britain Township Police said the statue was reported stolen on Friday and was last seen on the property on Tuesday. The statue is 17 inches tall, police said.
