The twin home at 288 Cricklewood Circle in Montgomery Township remains uninhabitable following a Friday afternoon fire, as there is fire damage to the third floor and water damage throughout the entire home, Fire Department of Montgomery Township Chief Bill Wiegman reported Monday.
Wiegman said the displaced family is currently residing with friends in Doylestown.
There were no injuries in the fire.
Wiegman said a FedEx driver making deliveries came upon a fire at the address at 12:36 p.m., and FDMT and Montgomery Township Police arrived on scene to find a fire on the third floor of the three-story twin.
“Montgomery Township and mutual aid companies deployed two hose lines to extinguish the fire. The fire was held to the room of origin,” Wiegman said.
The fire was brought under control at 1:12 p.m. and the scene was cleared around 2 p.m.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Montgomery Township Fire Marshal’s Office.
Warrington, Chalfont, Hilltown, Fairmount Fire Co. of Lansdale, Horsham, Hatfield, Colmar, Wissahickon and North Penn fire companies assisted at the scene. VMSC EMS was also at the scene.
