Man injured after shooting himself in leg outside Wawa Wednesday afternoon, police say

A 55-year-old man was taken to Grand View Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after accidentally shooting himself in the leg at in the parking lot of Wawa in Colmar, Hatfield Township Wednesday afternoon.

Hatfield Police and VMSC Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the Wawa at Bethlehem Pike and Walnut Street around 3:41 p.m. for the incident.

No one else was injured and there was no threat to the public. The scene was cleared by 4 p.m.
