Skippack Pharmacy on Route 73 was robbed in the overnight hours Sunday, according to a post on its Facebook page and comment from owner Dr. Mayank "Dr. Mak" Amin.

Initial reports indicate masked suspects broke into the pharmacy and took some medications. Per reports, all security wires to the pharmacy were severed, but surveillance footage was captured by a neighboring business.

“Last night, our pharmacy was robbed but all are safe and well. While this act was disheartening, we want our community to know that our commitment to your health and well-being is stronger than ever. We’ve faced tough times together as a community and there is no act or obstacle that can hold us back from doing good," states the Facebook post.

"For those who know us, we rarely fill controlled medications and don’t keep much in stock so the wrong pharmacy was likely picked; however, many of our day-to-day medications were taken but we are working our fastest to get these replaced," per the post.

Amin is taking the robbery with his head - and attitude - held high. Skippack Pharmacy has forgiven the offenders.

"This, too, will pass & our team of superheroes will continue to be here for you, ensuring that you receive the care and medications you need."

"To those who took from us, we forgive you, but pray that you can get the help you need. Whether you or someone you know is struggling, whether with addiction or any other challenge, we want you to know that there is help available. This isn’t Dr. Mak’s pharmacy, this is our community’s pharmacy and where our community can help, we will," posted the pharmacy. "We are open to support anyone in need. Let’s work together to find solutions and build a healthier community."

Pennsylvania State Police at Skippack are investigating the incident.
