For many years, people from all over the greater North Penn area (and beyond) looked forward to The Estate of Geo. S. Snyder’s annual SNYDERAMA event.

It was in 1974 that the store, located on Cowpath Road just outside the Borough, conducted its very first SNYDERAMA - a three-day festival of merchandising and entertainment for the community.

An aerial photo shows a packed-out parking lot during that very first SNYDERAMA event in 1974. The event was extremely popular and featured many manufacturer’s representatives demonstrating their products, and plenty of family entertainment to enjoy like a petting zoo, clowns, jugglers, arts and crafts, pony rides, pet shows, live performances, lumberjack shows, and pig races.

And of course, there were the 10 cent hotdogs and drinks.

In 1996, folks got to meet some of their favorite Philadelphian childhood television stars at SNYDERAMA, like Gene London (Cartoon Corners/The Gene London Show), Buffalo Bob (Howdy Doody), and Chief Halftown, the Native American Indian entertainer who hosted a children's show that aired on WFIL-TV in Philadelphia from 1950 to 1999. Forty-nine years! The world's longest running local TV children's show!

(Sorry for the poor quality of some of these photos but they are the only ones we have from SNYDERAMA!)
