Emergency personnel respond to motorcycle accident with injuries in Hilltown Monday night

One motorcycle rider was injured and taken to an area hospital following an accident in Hilltown Township on Route 113 Monday night.

According to reports from the scene, the accident involved a motorcycle and a Jeep colliding at the intersection with Telegraph Road. The motorcyclist was put on a backboard and put into an awaiting Chal-Brit Ambulance.

The Jeep and its female driver are off the side of the road, but the motorcycle remains at the point of impact at the intersection. The Jeep has no major damage.

Route 113 is closed at Telegraph Road. All traffic is being diverted down Telegraph Road.

Hilltown Township Police is assisted at the scene by Silverdale Fire Co.
